Dr. Trahar was commissioned an officer in the Air Force following dental school. She attended a residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, D.C. before serving at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan, where she supervised a pediatric dental clinic. Following her service with the Air Force, Dr. Trahar attended a combined program in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she published a clinical research paper on distraction osteogenesis in The American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. After completing her specialty training, Dr. Trahar practiced in Washington, D.C., before returning home to Annapolis to open her new office. |
